Deaf Services Center, Inc. appreciates the support given by the Dorothy E. Ann Fund and Vera M. Tazelaar Fund of the Columbus Foundation that makes creating this Community Calendar a reality.

The idea of the community calendar began when various community members community expressed a desire to be able to access information about when and where events were taking place in the Columbus area. Several organizations expressed desire to know if there were other events scheduled to take place in order to avoid scheduling conflicts when planning their events. Deaf Services Center heard and agreed with their desire by seeking funds to help create this "calendar" on its web site.

We hope that our efforts in creating this Community Calendar helps strengthen the coordinating efforts to spread out its events throughout the year in order to maximize the social and learning opportunities for everyone.
