Deaf Services Center has been running their Bingo game since 1994. The proceeds generated from Bingo helps support the Deaf community in many different ways. The Deaf Kids & Teens Club (Deaf Youth Program) is an excellent example of how bingo has supported the community by helping children who are deaf and hard of hearing to develop leadership and interpersonal skills. Deaf Services Center also benefits from bingo proceeds to support advocacy and case management services by helping deaf and hard of hearing people in overcoming communication barriers and accessing community resources. DSC also provides the deaf consumer with assistance in understanding their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The DSC Bingo game is held every Wednesday at 7:00PM and every Saturday at 6:30PM. Doors open at 4:30PM each day. DSC pays out $3,490 in Bingo winnings and about $1,000 in door prizes each night. We also sell many popular instant games with jackpots in various sizes. The Bingo game is held at the 1250 Demorest Road location at the west side of Columbus. If you have any questions or would like more information, you can call the Bingo Hall on Wednesday or Saturday night at 614 274-2646, or call our office at 614 841-1991. |
